Aiken Regional Medical Centers, located in Aiken, South Carolina, is seeking a Court Liaison to work in conjunction with the Director of Clinical Services to ensure the successful administration and management of the legal processes that are required of area courts regarding involuntary patients, while adhering to patient rights.
Duties include coordinating, organizing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with legal processes for court committed and/or involuntary patients. The Court Liaison will support the Director of Clinical Services in providing management and administration of legal processes required by area courts regarding involuntary patients. They will maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources. The Court Liaison will assist with the delivery of patient services, attend weekly treatment team meetings, and ensure that patients are treated with dignity and respect in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards of care.
The Court Liaison will also attend assigned trainings, maintain necessary certifications, and participate in supervision and staff meetings. They will interface with community agencies related to delivery of clinical services, education, and recruitment, and provide services to current referral sources to assure their satisfaction and continued associations. The Court Liaison will assist in collaborating with the Director of Business Development to develop, implement, and monitor a target marketing plan for the legal processes.
Qualifications include a degree from an accredited college or university in social work, mental health, nursing, or related field, and a minimum of two years' experience in a healthcare setting or managed care company. Preferred licensure includes R.N. LVN, L.M.S.W., LPC, or other healthcare-related licensure. The Court Liaison must be a self-starter, able to work alone and under time deadlines, and possess superior organizational and interpersonal skills.
