JOB SUMMARY The DevOps Cloud Engineer supports the program’s Global team by designing, implementing, and managing a complex hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform, with a focus on automation, deployment, and continuous improvement. SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Design, implement, and manage a hyperconverged cloud infrastructure on the Nutanix platform Develop and maintain automated deployment scripts using tools such as Ansible or Terraform Collaborate with development teams to implement CI/CD pipelines Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to identify automation and process improvement opportunities Design, develop, and implement automation solutions using Bash, Python, Ansible, and PowerShell Test and validate automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and are free from defects Track and assess the impact of infrastructure changes such as patching and maintenance REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Must obtain DoD 8570/8140 certification (e.g., Security+ CE or equivalent) within three months of starting Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware, RedHat OpenStack, or Nutanix Experience with Linux and/or Windows Server system administration Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, PowerShell, or Ansible Experience working within a Scrum team in an Agile environment EDUCATION Bachelors with 5+ years of experience or Master with 3+ years of experience LOCATION Full Time/ On‑Site at Schriever Base in Colorado Springs, CO CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT Top Secret (SCI Eligibility) SALARY RANGE $120,000 to $145,000 PHYSICAL DEMANDS Remain in a stationary position for extended periods of time Operate a computer, keyboard, and other office equipment using hands and fingers Communicate effectively in person, over the phone, and through electronic means Occasionally move about the office to access files, office equipment, and meeting spaces Lift and/or move up to 15 pounds as needed Maintain specific vision abilities, including close vision and the ability to adjust focus WORK ENVIRONMENT This position is performed within a secure, classified workspace.
