U.S. Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced U.S. Immigration Paralegal / Legal Assistant to support attorneys in managing a wide range of employment-based and humanitarian immigration cases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with EB-2, PERM, O-1, Asylum, and H-2B visa processes, along with strong documentation, case management, and client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and file employment-based immigration petitions, including EB-2 (PERM-based cases)
• Handle full-cycle PERM process, including recruitment coordination and documentation
• Assist with O-1 visa petitions, including drafting support letters and compiling evidence
• Manage Asylum applications, including preparing forms, declarations, and supporting documentation
• Process H-2B visa cases, including labor certification coordination and petition filing
• Draft and review immigration forms (I-140, I-129, ETA 9089, ETA 9142B, etc.)
• Maintain and update case files using case management systems (e.g., Filevine, Docketwise, INS ZOOM, or similar)
• Communicate with clients to collect documents and provide case updates
• Track deadlines and ensure timely filings and compliance with USCIS and DOL requirements
• Assist attorneys with RFE responses, case strategy, and legal documentation
• Conduct basic legal research related to immigration matters

Required Qualifications:

• 2–5+ years of experience as a U.S. immigration paralegal or legal assistant
• Strong working knowledge of:
  • EB-2 / PERM process
  • O-1 visa petitions
  • Asylum applications
  • H-2B visa process
• Experience preparing and reviewing USCIS and DOL forms
• Familiarity with case management tools (Filevine, Docketwise, or similar)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously
• Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications (Plus):

• Experience with additional visa types such as H-1B, L-1, EB-1, E-2, TN, etc.
• Exposure to consular processing and adjustment of status cases
• Experience handling RFEs and NOIDs
• Knowledge of U.S. immigration compliance and documentation standards

Work Setup:

• Full-time role
• Ability to work in EST time zone
